In It to Win It: GovCon Insights from the 2026 GAUGE Report:

What does it take for GovCons to outthink, outbid, and outlast the competition? Drawing on findings from the 2026 GAUGE Report, this session explores what successful government contractors are doing differently from pursuit through delivery. We’ll look at the trends shaping growth and financial performance, including rising indirect and wrap rates, audit readiness, forecasting, and the need for connected data across growth, finance, and delivery. Attendees will leave with practical benchmarks and approaches to make better decisions, reduce surprises, and improve performance from pursuit to profit.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this session, attendees will be able to:

1. Understand key 2026 GAUGE findings across growth, profitability, rates, compliance, and technology

2. Identify practices that distinguish successful GovCon organizations

3. Recognize how connected systems, trusted data, and AI can improve visibility and decision-making across teams

4. Learn 3 steps for more accurate forecasting

Miriam Briskin

Manager, GovCon Small Business

Miriam leads the small business team at Unanet and partner with government contractors who are navigating growth, compliance, and increasing complexity. She is often brought in when leaders need clarity, alignment, and a path forward. Through strategic, consultative conversations, she and her team help organizations improve visibility, strengthen financial and project control, and implement systems that support scalable, compliant growth. Just as importantly, she spends a lot of my time connecting people across the GovCon ecosystem—bringing together ideas, partners, and opportunities that help businesses move forward faster.

Lead strategy and engagement initiatives focused on supporting the growth and modernization of small government contractors across the GovCon ecosystem partnering with emerging and established GovCon firms to identify opportunities for operational improvement, data visibility, and scalable growth.

Miriam advocates for innovation in small business government contracting, exploring how AI, data, and modern systems can help contractors operate smarter and compete effectively, while collaborating with internal teams and industry stakeholders to strengthen Unanet’s role as a trusted partner to growing government contractors.
